7/3/2021 update:This guy is awesome. A year later and he’s brought out almost every time we see/tall about frogs (so like all the time!) and during our math lessons specifically for some reason I can’t even remember, but hey, it works! Older and younger kids all love this guy who have met him, and I’m looking forward to using him during our upcoming Frog and Toad LA lessons! If you’re on the fence, get this guy! His fat little back is also perfectly adorable and squeezeable β€οΈPurchased this to go with a lifecycle unit study for 2 preschoolers I homeschool, and fun in general because we love puppets and I can see this getting a lot of love. I love Folkmanis puppets in general and everyone we meet is always impressed with the various ones we have, this one definitely lives up to their high quality and durability. The only disappointment in this was size – much smaller than expected for price/compared to other reviewer photos. I have very large adult hands though, and can easily use this puppet. I know my almost five year old son and his friend will be able to use this easily too, so bonus points! He’s cute enough I’m thinking he’ll be our school mascot for the year!

I bought this puppet for my 1-year-old niece. She really adores it. When she sees the frog her entire face lights up, she gives it hug, and pats it on the head. The arms move really well, the eyes are big and shiny, and the mouth can open and close easily to give kisses or eat snacks. All of these features are essential for a good puppet, and help to make it more life-like and fun. I also have the hedgehog puppet from Folkmanis, but itβs a bit stiffer and doesnβt move as freely as the frog. For that reason, the frog is definitely the household favorite and one I would recommend to anyone looking to entertain or interact positively with children.

This guy is a big hit with both grandkids and young students. His mouth, face, and arms can be manipulated to make expressions. The quality of fabric is nice, with a realistic texture. He’ll sit on top of bookshelf without falling over and can still be engaged with kids from a distance.

Reasonable price for well designed, fun to use, beautifully crafted FROG puppet. Calls out for motion and sound ….. The best of what’s natural in color blend ,danglely. long legs and great bulging eyes. ! !

My grandson is a ten year old, mostly non-verbal autistic, although he has been developing a vocabulary.18 months ago I got him one of these, we called him “Froggy”, and he loved it, better than the other Bunch of hand puppets.Problem was, he had three places he played Mom -Dad – Grandmas – and if Froggy was at the wrong home, major meltdown. So I got another one. One would travel with him, the other would stay with grandma. We had done that with Lego toys, and some other things. But they had no personality.”Froggy”, and “Froggy brother”, were inseparable, grandpa’s right hand and left hand. They always traveled with him, but were not animated, did not speak, at mommy’s or daddy’s.If you watch the youtube videos with plush toys and puppets you will see they get thrown about constantly.Outside, Froggy gets thrown up into the trees, where he stays, and taunts us, and his brother. One way or another he is retrieved (problem solving occupational therapy).Inside, Froggies are thrown against the wall, beat with a plastic bat, all manors of abuse – and never needed mending. Not even close, no loose seams, none. The plastic eyes are chipped. Early on, they were flying twenty feet in the air, and landing on the driveway. Eventually we avoided pavement, but the damage was done, not that anyone cares. We love our Froggies, warts and all.Grandson does animate Froggy occasionally, but has extra problems making them speak, because grandpa is their alter ego.He told me he is going to get another Froggy at Christmas, and he will make sure he behaves, he will be the alter ego, he will make him talk.Grandpa can’t wait for Christmas.I will suggest “Froggy Cousin” for a name, but the decision is his.Probably a dozen puppets, tons more plush, this is the best materials and workmanship, hands down.Excellent choice of materials. The price is so low, disappointment is not possible.Folkmanis is always first class, best of the best, the other one puppets we have are of equal quality. He has other plush puppets, well made, cost more, and most of them needed mended due to the rough treatment.

I take my granddaughter to story time weekly at our library. They have a large collection of these amazing puppets. They are very well made and lifelike. Excellent quality
