The hummingbird puppet I bought for a relative arrived today, and it’s adorable! The construction appears very well made; I’m confident it’s sturdy enough to last for quite a long time. When you put it in direct sunlight it has this lovely shimmery look to it, very reminiscent of a real hummingbird. The only complaint I have is that the green color of the hummingbird is considerably darker than what the picture shows. As I was taking it out of the box for a split second I thought it was black! I’ll try to upload a picture at some point, but nonetheless it is of good quality and I’m satisfied with my purchase.

I am a storyteller and have a hummingbird puppet that I have had for several years. I thought I was time to purchase a a new one. This puppet arrived on time and is excellent quality and color. I laughed when I opened the package. This is the LARGEST hummingbird I have ever seen. It is 15 inches long ( beak to tail) and is bigger that any hummingbirds I have seen in my backyard. I did a fact check:Hummingbirds are New World birds that constitute the family Trochilidae. They are among the smallest of birds, most species measuring in the 7.5–13 cm (3–5 in) range. Indeed, the smallest extant bird species is a hummingbird, the 5-cm bee hummingbird, weighing less than a U.S. penny (2.5 g).My previous hummingbird puppet will have to suffice. I will keep this one as an extra but it is not a replicate of what children might observe outside. If you have never seen a real hummingbird, you might not know how tiny they really are!

This puppet is extremely well made and my niece just loves it. I do have a problem with the beak however, the way it was shipped cause the beak to be bunched up in the packaging and now it is impossible to keep it straight. I’ve had it over a month now and I still have issues getting the beak to stick out straight. Otherwise this has been great.

Great size for a hummingbird puppet, but the green is too dark. The color needs to be a lighter green to make it look more realistic.
