   Originally purchased as a practical joke item for someone with a “goat history,” when I opened the package and saw the marionette, it was simply too adorable to waste on a bad joke. It’s going to a young relative for her birthday. Small and sturdy enough to be maneuvered by children’s hands, this cleverly made little puppet has an unruly coat of grey hair, a true goaty stance and, dare we say, rather a capricious twinkle in its black button eyes. The strings are nicely wrapped to prevent tangling, but I did take it out of its bag and try it out, purely for quality assurance purposes, of course; it trot-danced like it was in the Sound of Music number. Really cute. Glad I bought it.

   This marionette is very well made, you just can’t control very much with it. You can move his legs a little bit and that is all.

   I have nothing but GOOD things to say about our experience with this order. My daughter’s bday was on Jan 8 and we ordered this on Jan 1 with the hopes of getting in 3-5 business days. However, when I got the email confirmation it stated an estimated delivery date of 1/21-1/29! Almost 3 weeks after I needed it. I quickly cancelled the order and promptly got an email from RSF themselves. He stated that amazon does that all the time but it was not at all going to be delivered that late, he also promised me that it would come before her bday. I was hesitant but I trusted him and to my surprise it arrive 2 days early! That’s my praise for the RSF company! Thank you so much for your reliability and graciousness!NOW, as for the product? I have one happy girl at home who said that this marionette was one of the BEST gifts she’s ever received! She’s 12!Amazing product and exceptional service!Thank you from Sacramento, Ca

   I didn’t actually see my grandson open his Christmas present, but his mother tells me that he is having a great time playing with it in the car. Its a darling little goat, and much easier to work than the junkie Toy Story 2 marionettes I got, but did not give him.

   I enjoyed using this for my young niece, but there’s not a big range of movement, so it’s hard to be as expressive as you might like. It’s fun to play with and kids love it, but if you want a longer-lasting toy with more expressive range you might want to get a larger marionette.

   This little goat marionette is cute but definitely not a quality item. The product and packaging have the same appearance as a stuffed animal purchased at a discount store such as the Dollar Tree or Big Lots. The puppet arrived smashed in its plastic bag packaging. One pro about the packaging is that the strings were tied together to prevent them from becoming tangled. However not all of the strings appear to be the appropriate length and therefore the ability to “walk” the goat was quite awkward looking. Even after a few minutes of trying to fluff the fur it still looked matted – like a stray dog.The actual puppet is small, as the description says it measures 16 inches from the controller to the bottom of the marionette. Holds the interest of my 3 year old but my older niece and nephew have no interest.
