It’s cute, but the beak is kinda too small and soft to make it look like it’s actually talking. I’m thinking about reworking it’s mouth to insert cardboard to give it a more defined talking experience for the kids. I could have done without it eating cherries, but that might be fun for the little ones once they open it at Christmas.

I bought this as a gift for my grandson. Overall I like the puppet. It did arrive with a small tear in the fabric inside the mouth area and some of the stuffing was coming out. Since it was so close to Christmas time I did not want to return and chance not having the gift and repaired it on my own with needle and thread. Although this is marketed as a HABA product it was clearly marked as being made in China- not a big deal to me; but if you think you are getting something from Germany look elsewhere. The fact that you can “feed” the puppet is nice and my grandson liked it but it would be better if there was a “pocket” for the items to go to instead of just falling through. Additionally there is a significant amount of stuffing in the beak area which does actually make it a bit hard to move the beak. This will make it frustrating if the child is trying to manipulate the puppet but not such a big deal if an adult is using it to play with the child. Overall an “OK” product for the price. If I had to do it over again would purchase something else.

My 4 year thinks this is Maggie off Steve and Maggie and she loves this bird can put stuff in its mouth and it disappears. Great little puppet!
