I’ve seen these dancing cacti around, and I always thought they were the cutest. My cactus arrived protected in a little box with instructions. The cactus does require 3 AA batteries- so be sure to have those on hand because you will want to start using it as soon as it arrives. The instructions are simple to understand. Once you turn the cactus on, it will start to mimic you, and dance and light up as it does so. There is a volume adjustment with a few different setting to choose from, and you can record your own voice with a recording option- it does not change your voice on the recording setting but it still does dance and light up. The cactus feels well made. I wouldn’t want my dog to get a hold of it, but with gentle use I think it will hold up well, and for the price feels like good quality.I was surprised about the music options. The description of this product includes “6-12 months” and “Baby talking cactus toy” in the description as of when this review was written, and many the promotional images include babies or small children. This cactus holds a bizarre wide array of music. Included on the cactus are some more familiar excerpts from Billie Eilish, Justin Beiber, and Bruno Mars. There was even a Spice Girls track mixed in there, along some unexpected tunes like “My Humps” by The Black Eyed Peas, “Where the Hood At” by DMX, “Bikini Body” by Darwin, and “Chain Hang Low” by Jibbs. The promotional images for the product really don’t do justice for the dancing cactus singing “Show it off, girl, Show it off” or “Where the hood at?” The cactus does include the next few lines of that song, but I won’t include that here. In addition to pop music, there was also some obscure French accordion music, yodeling, a lot of Latin and Japanese pop, and several songs that appeared on House music compilations from 2016 (according to SoundHound music identifying app). My favorites were actually the accordion and yodeling, I feel like they matched the spirit of this dancing cactus and I wish there was more instrumental music. The descriptions states there are 120 songs, I’m not sure how the music rotates, but a lot of songs will repeat several times in a row, or the same few songs will repeat. They do not play chronologically. All in all, I still like this cactus, just know what to expect when you hit the music button and don’t be surprised. I expected nursery rhymes and got more than I bargained for!

This thing is a hoot. Our 10 month old loves to babble at it and then laugh hysterically when it copies her. Very fun!

The media could not be loaded. This little dancing cactus is just adorable and he can dance in a full circle without falling over. The music for me wasn’t very understandable; I’m hoping it’s not too much for children as far as the lyrics go. It can repeat short phrases and does a pretty good job at recognizing what you say. I’m sure it’ll provide any child or adult for that matter with a lot of laughter and smiles. I know it made me laugh out loud. It’s Super Cute!

My little one gets a kick out of this little things. It sings and dances which he loves. Soft material and lightweight. Great for little ones.

This little cactus is so fun! It kept my 4 & 5 year olds busy for a while! It is very reactive to sound and mimics the sound perfectly. And it does a little dance!

So it looks like any of the other singing cactus that are around these days (I know there’s a lot). So nothing out of the ordinary appearance wise, it is pretty loud even at lower volumes, maybe a little too loud for babies but toddlers seem to love it. It takes a little bit of messing around with to figure out the recording as there’s only 1 button but you can record a message for playback and then also have it instantly repeat what you said with autotune which is pretty fun making it make weird noises. What got me was the music selection. There was obvious kids songs but then tons of like dance and like pop songs you’d hear at the club from a few years ago. There’s no way to select a song and it seems to play randomly so that’s something to keep in mind but it was absolutely a hit with a bunch of drunk adults dancing around a dancing cactus never knowing what song was next, made for a great party ?
