Cons:- I had asked the question about the Velcro and was told there was none; this is completely false. There are two large pieces of Velcro on the elephant’s underside that keep it “sitting” as pictured, and an even larger piece that holds closed the pouch (which holds the removable heat pack).- The elephant is quite a bit smaller than pictured.- The description says filled with millet, but it is flax. When the flax seed and dried lavender filled heat pack is microwaved and placed back in the elephant’s pouch it does not smell good at all (like others have mentioned).- The trunk and tusks are sewn on crooked.Pro:-It is soft.As-is I was disappointed with this purchase, especially considering the price.However, the Velcro was easy to remove, and replacing the heat pack with one I made myself was simple. My customized elephant is now Velcro-free and smells faintly of sweet lemon. And the flax seed heat pack does provide a “wet heat” which is soothing if you’re sick or sore.

My daughter has anxiety – it gives her tummy aches. This helps her sleep and also eases period cramps. The lavender is just the right amount and mellows out after a few uses. Just be careful not to heat it too much at one time or you will Scorch the interior materials. We did that with our first elephant and had to replace it. We find that one minute in the microwave then shaking it up and putting it back for 30 seconds works perfectly!

I love this little guy and I go for weeks with not being able to sleep without it. Great for stomach aches, cramps, or just having a hard time sleeping! He smelled so great when I first got him, but after a few microwave sessions, he starts to smell a little burnt. I think this can be avoided by not putting him in for too long, but I would take it staying warmer longer with a little bit of a smell over it just being a little warm.
