The shipping box does not reveal the contents; the product box is inside. Assembly wasn’t difficult but did require a Phillip’s head screwdriver that is not provided. The pieces are all numbered, the diagrams are helpful, and the pilot holes are well-aligned. It is definitely more stable once you add the extra feet at the end, so make sure to use them. The curtains can be tied, hung down, or easily rolled up via the red nob on the side. It’s a decent quality toy and I love that it is multipurpose since it is big. It comes with two animal puppets and I love the little chalk board pieces in front of the shelves. My 5 and 8 year old boys have a lot of fun with this!

The double side pretended toy is a good design for kids. My son helped me assemble the stand easily. One side is puppet show theater: Its colors are bright and attractive and come with a zebra plush puppet and a lion plush puppet. My kids can use their imagination to create a show by themselves. Moreover, when they play shows, encourage them to talk more indirectly. Another side is a lemonade stand. Kids can put some play food on the shelves It is very cool. I am glad that my kids enjoy making lemonade for me. When putting a cash register toy on it, kids also can use it to play market games. Parents and children communicate with each other through role-playing.

This is such a cool puppet theater set. I love play-sets and toys like this, that encourage kids to use their imagination and to be creative! The puppet theater is easy to assemble, it is built of quality materials, and it has nice bright colors.It is double-sided, and the back of the puppet theater is themed like a produce market (or could be used as a lemonade stand).There are shelves which can be used to store puppets when not in use (or products when setup like a market). My 7 y/o son and 3 y/o daughter absolutely love this puppet theater! Lots of re-play value! 5-stars!

Such great quality in this theater/shop combo! The finish is especially nice. And it is sturdy enough to be safe for my group of grandkids to give a show together. It is not hard to build, but I recommend having a buddy since the extra hands will be a help with the first pieces you put together. Took me about an hour alone. I was disappointed that it was missing a screw (the one that holds one side of the theater curtain rod) but I was able to work around that. Also the pilot holes for the feet weren’t drilled far enough for my aging weak hands to get the screws in, so I left them off. It doesn’t seem to have affected the stability of the piece at all since it is a solidly build toy. Finally, the puppets are waaaay nicer than I expected. Beautiful plush puppets with mouths that open and close. I predict this is going to be the hit of Cousin Camp this year. (Ages 4-10)

This being a Melissa and Doug product I was disappointed when I unpacked it and realized that one of the boards was missing the necessary groove to put it together. After asking a handy friend to create the groove needed I proceeded to build the puppet theater only to find that it was missing one half of the curtain. Disappointed.*update* after writing my review the company reached out and did send another puppet theater that was complete. I appreciate their prompt response!

My kids absolutely love this puppet theater and food stand! My 9, 7, and 5 year old daughters actually play with this constantly. It is light enough that they can turn it around to whatever side they want to use, but I am not worried about it flipping over on them, since it is pretty sturdy. They have started making their own puppets (none of the socks in our household are safe anymore, lol) and we have multiple puppet shows every day. Our 5 year old especially loves the way she can raise the curtains for her performances. The food/ lemonade stand side is fun for them as well, and doubles as storage for their puppets.Overall, this is an adorable, fun toy that helps foster creativity and imagination. I would absolutely order it again, and would recommend it.

Extremely disappointed! First, a piece is broken (see photo). The box it came in was not damaged at all so they packed it like that.More importantly, the parts weren’t measured and cut properly so it wouldn’t go together for the shelves.I was OK with potentially putting it together because it only affected the shelving on the shop side and I was more interested in the puppet theater but it’s still not okay.Save your money. Don’t buy
